An office is made by its desks.
The furniture is a way to express our personality, our aspirations, and in some cases, our status. This project started as a design contest. The main limitation was the strict use of stainless steel at least on 60% of the overall furniture piece.
I decided to work on a desk for luxury offices. The furniture piece looks like a sculpture but it is also detachable for easy transportation and storage. For the concept, I was looking for equilibrium, simplicity, emotion, and toughness. These elements were translated into shapes and solids, always looking to create an different but clean looking. One of the main risks on these project were the balance preservation and weight distribution.
